STRTD FRM TH BTTM.
I have mixed feelings about the presentations tonight. First of all I respect anyone who can speak in an environment where they are not comfortable. The presentations I have enjoyed the most are Taylor’s NEMO presentation, and Jake’s DBDC presentation, because they are cool people who chose cool companies. Also I do get confused why people are so used to reading off of the screen to their audiences. I recognized when I did this when I was a cadet in ROTC, and my CO told the class he’s not illiterate, he can read the slides just fine. This has always made me laugh, when I think about it. When it comes to my design life, I certainly have “started from the bottom.”
Since we did not have a reading assignment this week, I will talk about how this class has been for me so far. To start I’d like to say I’ve enjoyed starting to see my peer’s work recently. I also have learned how to use the pen tool in illustration, I think I’m great at it, but Justin and Taylor thinks it’s just because I’m new. This next week I will have to start working on some sketches for the logo/research design project. I really want to work with the sticker maker in the lab, how is it that a logo truly becomes cool when you make it adhesive?
Check out this biker right now, he’s got serious skills. He could for sure use a sweat rag.
Btw Katie, The Crimson Lily is the coolest restaurant in town if you didn’t already know.
