The day we met

Did you remember the day we met for the first time? It’s still in front of my eyes

Your smile behind the scarf Anxiety in your footsteps As you walked towards me

The bus journey on a bumpy road Crackling noise of windows Which interrupted our conversations

The laughs we had Cadbury bites we shared Sitting next to each other with an inch gap

Every moment and every second Is still in front of my eyes!

The blush on your red cheeks When you hid your face to read my first letter And the way you looked at me after reading it Brings a smile on my lips every single time.

Reasons I found to touch your hand Words we couldn’t find to talk Moments we stared at each other Flashes in my eyes every single time.

Did you remember? When you forced me to talk with the conductor An awkward feeling we had after check-in The way you rushed to compare our height

Every moment and every second Is still in front of my eyes!

Lunch with roti and chicken Game to stare at each other Monkeys which frightened you Dadha who played lovey-dovey songs Mulberry ice cream at the so-called strawberry garden How can I forget these things which made us closer?

Your struggle to understand my third letter The way you held my hand on the pedal boat Laughs we had while sprinkling water on each other Circles we made around the pleasant lake Hehe! Isn’t it a perfect duet song?

The factory we visited to taste the chocolates Pictures you clicked when I’m holding a pile of boxes The lassi we had to skip the dinner The first kiss you gave me on my forehead

Every moment and every second Is still in front of my eyes!

The way you escaped when I reached your lips The words we whispered Your touch, Your hug, Your smell, Your love Your juicy lips when we bit strawberries together The conversations we had till the sunrise

That one day is a lovely treasure in my mind A treasure of beautiful memories Which mesmerize me every single time How can I forget, My Love?

Every moment and every second Is still in front of my eyes!
