“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” — Mark Twain

In this fast-changing world, we at some point wish for a pause button and yearn to do something out of the ordinary, which most of the times include a trip to someplace. Slight alterations in your daily life once in a while might be the best thing that you would do for the betterment of your work and personal life as well. There are two types of people; one who proudly calls themselves as nomads- creates the opportunity to stroll around the World and another set of people who wait for the opportunity to discover the unseen.

What really inspires your travel destination? We need a motivation to influence our decisions every-time, be it small or big. Each one of us has our own justification for our action and it need not be the same for everyone. Here is a pile of thoughts I brainstormed with my friends when the question was raised.

What inspires our travel destination?

· A challenge to break the comfort-zone

Many of us are lucky to get exactly what we want in life. But we ponder over it when we think about an imaginary situation which is out of the ordinary daily life and our reaction to it. Is it healthy to get comfortable with things and carry on with our life meticulously? It might become a threat sooner or later. There are people who realized this and decide on a trip with new people and a new place. A challenge we take up to break our comfort zone without being pushed by someone else.

· In-search of oneself

No, it doesn’t sound weird. Have you visited your long-time friends after a stretched period? Were you being bombarded with questions such as- ‘How come you have become so serious? We have never seen you so quiet. Has something eating you up? You behave differently’. If yes it is time for you to apply for vacation and pack your bags. A simple journey to a place suiting your interest brings back the real you out of the bag, hiding from the strenuous life you are living. A break from our routine life is essential. Choose a place which can remind you of your good old days and fly to rescue yourself from the strange you. Occasional vacations can do wonders in many ways.

· To learn new things

People who get bored with their daily job, household work, mainly a routine life too often, are not ordinary persons. These people love changes and have a passion to see and do new things every day. It would be foolish to chain them to the desk and make them do a routine job. Mostly creative minds fall under this category and a journey around the world makes them mesmerized. Meeting new people, culture, tradition, places, food etc excites them. Few out of many figures out their interest and do it right. For the ones who have just realized after reading this- remember it is better late than never.

· Escape from irksome life

Fear can also be an inspiration to flee around the World. How many of us have listened to our inner voice screaming for a break away from the boring life? Kiss goodbye to your boredom and crawl silently to a place where you feel you are set free from the demanding life.

· Curiosity

When the inquisitiveness hormone is more than the required amount in your body, a journey to a new place will be a perfect experience. Curiosity to know about the existence of several things can be a strong enough reason to put on the exploration cap.

· Dream come true- Check off of the bucket list

For people like me, there is no need for a motivation to pack the bags. All we need will be a tick across our bucket list just to experience the fun part of our lives leaving behind everything and appreciating the Mother Nature.

Broaden your horizon, spread your wings and experience the merriment of each moment you discover yourself in a new place.

Many a time we have flared up when we realized, something important was missed while excitedly packing for a long vacation. Throughout the journey, we wonder, “What could I have possibly left behind while packing this time”? If you are like me and enjoy packing weeks ahead of the journey, I am certain that you will fail to pack something as important as a journey ticket or your passport. Although a checklist comes in handy for people like me, there will be something we are sure about not forgetting but that will be exactly what we will forget. This absence of mind cannot be tolerated during every trip. So here I am listing out the general things we regret not finding in our suitcase even if it is there in our travel checklist.

· Passport — An essential component we leave behind in a haste

· Ticket — Forget the trip if you don’t have this

· Currency — Exchange your currency if needed

· Mobile charger — One thing that keeps your phone alive

· Power glasses — Probably your trip will look blurred without this

· Medicines and prescription — Health is wealth!

· Guide book — One thing which keeps you on track without misguiding you

· Camera — you will curse yourself for the rest of your life without carrying this (especially when you go to a paradise)

· Tiny first-aid kit — We never know when it will come in handy

We tend to overpack afraid of leaving behind stuff. Avoid that. Do not juggle with too many things at a time. Find a technique to bear in mind the incredibly important (must have) items to carry during a journey. In-case you fail to remember, do not panic. Learn from the experience and make it to the top of the chain of priority during your next trip. Happy bon voyage!
