10 Easy Rules to Register a Company in India

New company registration in India is no longer a tedious process as it used to be before the introduction of the INC-29 form in 2015. This form launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs aims to ease the route of establishing one’s company through registration.
The rules are substantially simplified so as to encourage the flourishing of businesses in India. A step wise method is to be followed to register a company in India. The following norms are to be understood and followed while registering a company:
1. One has to contact a certified agency of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and from there acquire a Digital Signature Certificate. Identity proof and address proof of the entrepreneur have to be submitted along with the duly filled form to obtain this certificate. The certified agency will provide the businessman with the certificate and USB token within five days.
2. Correctly filling the INC-29 is the next step. It requires patience to complete this extremely detailed form as it offers only one window for correcting mistakes. Alterations beyond that can be done through new submission only.
3. Director Information Number Application or DIN is used by the MCA for marking a company’s director(s). In order to acquire a DIN, scanned copies of identity and address proofs along with scanned copy of the director’s picture are to be submitted.
4. An exclusive name for the company should be chosen as there is only one choice given in this regard. Avoiding commonly used names and names which have been previously registered is mandatory. A brief description of the distinctive name of the business is also to be provided in the given space.
5. Two important documents that are to be included along with the INC-29 form are Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association which should be signed by a secretary of the company. MoA or Memorandum of Association should enlist the objectives of the business enterprise.
6. An address either commercial or residential should be provided as the company’s office address with necessary documents depending upon the property which can be either owned or rented. Without an address a company cannot be registered.
7. All the declarations made while attaching several self attested testimonials have to be certified further through a declaration provided by the director of the company.
8. The correctly filled in INC-29 form along with the required attachments is to be submitted. The submission will be completed after the fees are paid along with the stamp duty cost.
9. After acquiring the incorporation certificate one can make a private seal for the company.
10. Procuring Tax Account Number and Permanent Account Number and enrolling with the different tax offices of the state is the final step. For insurance and provident fund separate enrollments are to be done in the concerned government offices.
