Where To Eat in Brisbane

Brisbane is where I spent the majority of my seven weeks in Australia. This is where I worked and lived and on the weekends I would do my traveling around the east coast. Brisbane was my favorite city, probably because that is where I spend most of my time and I just absolutely love that it is a river city. Many of the restaurants have amazing views and a lot are even right on the water. Some of the great restaurants I went to were in Paddington, West End, and South Bank. I worked in Paddington so I was able to try many different restaurants for lunch. I lived in the West End so I tried different restaurants for breakfast and dinner. South Bank is one of the best places in Brisbane and they have some of the best restaurants with great views of the river and the city.
In Paddington, you have to check out Fundies. They have some of the best salads have ever eaten. Right off the side of the restaurant is a small grocery store with local fruits and vegetables and healthy foods. There is also a restaurant there called Cayenne that has one of the best views of the city from the tables. Whenever I was craving a good burger and fries, this is where I went for lunch.

In the West End, there are some really good bars that have great bar food. One of my favorites was Archive Beer Boutique and Bistro. They had some of the best craft beers (and I am not a huge fan of craft beers) and they have great food! If you are craving some authentic Greek food, check out Little Greek Taverna. They’re gyros and Greek salads are to die for. If you want Mexican, the Beach Burrito Company has great burritos and tacos as well has yummy margaritas and sangria. The best part about all of these restaurants is that they are all on Boundary Street! One of the best things that West End offers is the Boundary Street Markets on the weekends. They have local vendors with delicious foods from all around the world as well as vendors that sell trinkets and souvenirs.

Oh South Bank… One of my favorite places. And one of my favorite places to eat. Whenever I went on a run down path by the river, I always ran through South Bank and looked at all of the restaurants I wanted to try. After you try any of the delicious restaurants already mentioned and are dying for dessert, check out Cowch Dessert Cocktail Bar. They have ice cream, brownies, DESSERT PIZZA and really yummy cocktails.
