This is heartbreaking and beautifully written…still, I hope Nigeria can find some way around…

Thank you for your comment. Revolution is bandied around with little consideration for what armed conflict does to the very people who have suffered for years and would continue to suffer when the revolutionaries are done. People forget how much war is in Africa’s recent history. Liberia, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Congo, and the Sudans! They split the Sudans (much like calls to split Nigeria) and the South promptly fractured along new ethnic lines.

The revolution we need is of mindsets. Of the acceptance of our neighbours as partners in the nation, we are different but we have to progress together. Of an acceptance that the way to build is consistently over time — some cycles faster than the other but consistent forward progress.
