In recent years, we often heard about agile organization or development to flexible the team and enterprise against changes and better performance. These changes could be new project requirements and plans or a new business model. We have already learned what we could expect from the agile approach, but do we know how to reach this goal?

We need to revise the entire process from beginning to end. Specifically, big companies have a complex organization and strategies to achieve their goals. And changing these processes is not so easy, and any new requirement to the organization means to keep first of all the current structure as much as possible and adapt the rest with less possible changes, especially on the management level.

For instance, most organizations’ project management role has a responsibility conflict with the product owner role in an agile approach. Project managers or leaders have no interest in looking at the organization from an agile perspective and changing their management methods. This conflict leads to either fulfilling both roles by one person or adding a scrum master next to the leading position.

These mixed and parallel organizations do not work because of fundamental conflict with agile thinking and mindset.
