Thanks for taking the time to respond Onik. Much appreciated. I’m from Colombia and it can definitely get cold and windy at Kezar. That’s exactly why we moved kickoff from 7 pm to 5 pm for the rest of the weekend games this year. We definitely announce actual attendance. In fact, sometimes our announced attendance figures are under-reported as we’ve worked on improving our scanning at the gate. Rightly or wrongly, we figured attendance should be the people who have physically attended the game.
Agree on growing the audience from outside of SF. In our first season, we’ve decided to initially target SF and then over time expand outside of SF. Unfortunately, the location of Kezar Stadium is not the most conducive to people coming from the Peninsula or the East Bay. The stadium’s location is probably easier for people coming from Marin. I love your idea about partnering with CalTrain. Will look into that. We’ve recently began a partnership with Lyft and our plan is to see what we can get them to do for fans who are going to our games regardless of where they’re coming from.
Again, love the feedback.
