Beating the New Grad Slump

Nice article, Karen! Your feelings of angst as you transition from collegiate life into working life are spot on. Nobody tells you what this process looks or feels like, and you just kind of have to figure it out as you go. I definitely agree that having structure in your life is important for this very reason. Much like Alice, from Alice and Wonderland if you don’t know where you want to go, it doesn’t really matter which path you take; so, deciding this all-important life-trajectory is of extreme importance.

I also think Bill Watterson was a genius. “Is our quick experience here pointless?” That is a question I wrestle with every day. Maybe in the grand scheme of things, millions of years from now, our short existence won’t mean much; but I suppose in the good years we have, to the real people in your life, what you do every day, the gifts you give to your friends, family, community, and beyond, make all the difference in the world.

Thanks for writing ;)
