“Wait, a car that can drive me across the state for free, while I sleep or get work done?”

I fear that the technology is going to out-pace the legal framework on this point. While it’s likely that the technology will allow the driver to work or sleep while in transit, I doubt that the laws will allow it — at least not in the near term.
