the meaning of one word

Open your eyes, and look around. The world is a bigger place, and more extreme than many of us realize. Our life consists of our family, friends, school, regular after-school activities, and returning back home. Waking up and repeating the same activities is what we do. What we have is our life in our hands.

In my own mind, I think sometimes about further events that will happen someday. Graduation, college, getting a job, marriage, and starting a family is an ideal mind set which most people have in the world. But to think about this all, what exactly gets you through all of these things? It’s something that many people struggle finding, and without it, people fall in society. One word can build on who you are, where you stand in your life, and what your environment looks like around you. Money does it all, but this small little word can grow into a bigger concept and understanding that many people don’t realize impact their life.

We are all raised to know that in order to succeed in something, you have to work for it. In literal terms and meanings, most people need a job to support what they want to become. We learn that the world isn’t a free and easy place to live in. There are difficulties we have to overcome, problems that we all encounter, and doubt we have to put aside. It’s not easy trying to live the life you want. Ask yourself why do people wake up every single morning and continue their life? Getting deeper into this understanding, people hold their values in their hands. What they want, is what they see. People strive to get what they want, but many fall short because of that one word we all rely on. Money. What does money exactly do?

When we think of things, we think of buying. There are necessities, wants, and desires. Food, clothes, and bills are the things that usually come to mind. But what do these things mean? They are all physical things and stuff we use on a daily basis.

What I believe, is that we think money does us good. It does benefit us in positive ways, but money has a down fall. Many people in this world struggle to get what they want, especially what they need because of money. There is a big wall in the middle of the road, what do we do? We all stop, pause, and look up.

In our lives we all come across stumbling points, or times where we can’t get around the wall. The things we want may never come, and disappointed falls into hand. Problems in your life can make you fall down, and get you distracted from what you’re meant to be doing. I’m only 14, and I know that I haven’t dealt with money before in a big way, but I still see how many people struggle on a daily basis. Walking around, you see those who are living on the streets because of where money could have brought them. Jobs could of failed them, drugs and even alcohol could of effected them in certain ways to get like this. In school, many people I know work for the office because they have to pay financial aid. It doesn’t mean that they are poor or less fortunate, but I see how much this world costs. The world has so much to offer for such a big price. Many people can’t afford a good education, but others can. Wrapping this up, money plays such a big role, bigger than people imagine. It brings us places that many people can’t go in order to succeed…
