The nation-state works — for now — we’ve been cooperating more as the public gets more educated. Debt paid for by your own currency is not a threat. Money we lend to other countries pushes them to trade with us, to our benefit, tying us closer. History is not a pure rush to freedom — how much freedom did the wandering hunter have — lots, but with no society and limited cooperation. History speaks to a movement for a functional collective existence, and happier more productive societies are those whose institutions functioned to support social rules. Libertarian views are perverse about what really matters. Since a bitcoin is only a annotated record of a transaction, I expect governments to offer that service — in higher volumes, and lower costs than bitcoin, but simultaneously tracking money for taxation.
