An Introduction to Bigbom iAds

As discussed in our white paper, the Bigbom Ecosystem is comprised of various parts. One of these parts is Bigbom iAds.

Through Bigbom iAds, advertisers are able to directly connect Bigbom’s technology with the API of Facebook and Google Ads, creating a frictionless experience. It uses a machine learning algorithm which decides which ads will have the best performance, and will automatically perform A/B tests to test this in real-life. A beta version of Bigbom iAds, which includes integration with Facebook, was recently released and has been successfully tested by Bigbom’s customers for several months.

The beta has been made public, and is available at Bigbom.com/Beta. However, Facebook does unfortunately not offer the possibility to run their API in a sandbox environment. In addition, allowing all demo-users to connect to the same Facebook Ads account violates the terms of Facebook Ads. This means that the public demo version does not give insight in the full functionality of Bigbom iAds.

This article gives more insight into how Bigbom iAds works for advertisers. Please note that this is an early release of Bigbom iAds, released in advance of our upcoming token sale, and that additional functionality will be added over the coming months.

Getting Started

To get started, advertisers will need to create an account for Bigbom iAds. This process is easy and straightforward. Unlike traditional advertising systems, Bigbom iAds does not require any information other than an email address for registration. To become a member, advertisers will need to pay the membership fee for Bigbom iAds. The membership can be paid with BBO tokens or with traditional payment methods. In case the advertiser pays with traditional payment methods, they will automatically buy the amount of BBO required for a membership, thereby increasing demand for the token.

Integrate with Facebook Ads through their API

After signing up, advertisers who would like to integrate Bigbom iAds with Facebook will be able to link their account through the main menu. This is done through the Facebook API, and as a decentralized solution Bigbom Eco does not store this information in their database.

Having successfully connected their Facebook account, advertisers are able to create their first campaign by clicking ‘Create Campaign’ in the top right corner. The first steps of creating a campaign are choosing a name, the account the ad will be run on and to set the KPIs for the campaign. The KPIs are the goals of the campaign, and will define when a campaign will be ended. As of the time of publishing this article, advertisers are able to choose between Clicks, Actions and Impressions. Additionally, a max budget for the campaign can be set.

Advertisers can use various methods to specify their target groups

In the Group & Target screen, advertisers are able to specify directly what their target group is. In addition to specifying the target group, advertisers are able to A/B test various settings. Depending on the settings advertisers use, the system can automatically optimise ads. Furthermore, the budget for the campaign can be set, which can be specified as either a daily or a lifetime budget. The payment is automatically made from your Facebook Ads account, through the API. Finally, advertisers will add their content — text and images — to the advertisement.

In the screenshot shared above, the advertiser created 4 ad sets, each with different target groups and goals. After launching the ad, Bigbom iAds automatically pushes all settings to the Facebook API. While the ad is running, Bigbom iAds autonomously creates ads and ad sets based on live results in combination with the targets of the advertisement. The advertisements are created on the Bigbom iAds platform, and are then synced to Facebook. No manual adjustment is required to make this happen.

By clicking on one of the ad sets, in both Facebook or Bigbom iAds, the advertiser can get more insight in the specific ads that are pushed within this ad set. The actual advertisements — including content and settings — can be accessed from both platforms, and are fully editable.

Advertisers have various metrics to analyse their campaigns

After launching the campaign, Bigbom iAds provides advertisers with the opportunity to analyse their campaigns through various metrics, including efficiency: cost vs CPA price.
