International Criminal Court in The Hague may take a large scale against Russia
President of the Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited the International Criminal Court in the Hague, where he said that a tribunal for Russian war crimes should be established.
This visit is not purely formal, there is a definite plan of action behind it that aims to exclude Russia from the legal field of international relations.
“We all want to see another Vladimir here in The Hague, someone who deserves to be punished for his criminal actions. I’m sure that will happen when we win,” President Zelensky said in The Hague.
Among the countries that have expressed their willingness to execute Putin’s arrest warrant are 26 EU member states, which issued a joint statement on the subject. The South African president said the country was “aware of its legal responsibilities,” commenting on the likelihood of Putin’s arrest while attending the BRICS summit.
The decision to imprison Putin if he arrives was also supported by Britain and the United States, which are not signatories to the Rome Statute.
