They used the real names.. If they were only interested in telling a story they would have made up something else. But this way they couldn’t have exploited the people looking to learn from a cartoon. It would have been just a fable like any other.

Not that disney is the only guilty party, most historical films do this. But doing it to a culture that to their audience is largely foreign and unknown, that we hear so little about, and that we also mistreated since we’ve met them.. It adds an extra layer of cruelty. Add to that their pretense of caring for social issues like feminism..
