It undermines your brand and the faith people have entrusted you with when innovative approaches to releasing product aren’t coupled with clear expectations and fulfillment of your end of the bargain — actually producing a product. Even if he only makes it directly available to those who purchased it before the show streamed, he needs to ensure that every person who dipped in their pocket specifically to buy the completed album, receives the completed album, rather than us having to sit on our hands while he vacillates from decision to decision and meanwhile mainstream publications are publishing album reviews and the cultural conversation surrounding the album is already a horse within inches of his life.
