No, I don’t want to pursue your dream

Dear Sir, I enjoy hearing about your dreams

Goals, ambitions and future income streams

I have to admit though, I have been thinking of my own

Yes, I have my own dreams and seeds that I have sown

To get me to my current position.

Great strides I have taken, oceans that I have crossed

Other opportunities I have forsaken, ideas that I have tossed

I am grateful for the opportunity and the introductions

Your ideas, visions and life plans are enticing concoctions

I am ready now, however, to give birth to my own mission

I wish I could tell you openly Sir how I truly feel

I am no longer committed so to your spiel

I am in the process of metamorphosis

It’s time to be true to myself and my choices

I now walk the road less travelled to live my own dream
