Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.

As we all know that random acts of kindness are that what we do for the happiness and prosperity of others when they are not expecting something from us. I was assigned an assignment to do some random acts of kindness this week and Alhamdulillah I completed it by satisfaction.

Being Kind

Acts:

1- Last week I visited my hometown i.e. Faisalabad for some good cause. I was also passionate to meet my parents and the whole family. When I reached there my mother and father became very happy and kissed on my forehead. That was the best feeling I have ever experienced because they wanted to spend their time with me. I talked to them for a long time on many issues regarding study and career advancements and felt very satisfied to discuss all of my life problems with them. My mother taught me not to give up in life in any situation and offer Nimaz regularly and pray to Allah for the betterment of whole humanity. I stayed there for 2 days, served them and learned a lot of life tricks.

2- About 2 days ago, I visited my friend’s hostel in order to discuss some study issues. When I reached there the security guard called me and said,” Can you please sit on my seat? I am feeling very hungry and want to go outside to eat something.” I said, “Ok you go I am here, you should eat something now.” He thanked me a lot and went to the nearby canteen. I did his duty 30 minutes and for the first time, I felt that it was a quite difficult task to deal with different type of persons and hear their harsh words. After 30 minutes, he came back and thanked me from the depth of his heart because no one was ready to sit on his chair. We sat for some time, shared our ideas and also shared a cup of tea. It was the great experience of the life of being kind towards someone who was not expecting something from you.

3- Today I went to Railway Station in order to drop my brother there. On the way back to my home, a police officer requested me to give him “lift” as he was in hurry to reach the crime scene. I was also in a hurry because I was not in a good condition i.e. wound on my foot and it was bleeding. However, I shared the ride with him and asked about himself. He was quite young, newly appointed ASI on merit base. He told me that he wanted to become an engineer but due to family issues and references he quit that aim and applied for ASI position in Police Line Lahore. He shared many life lessons with me as I was special to him and this thing made me proud that at least someone is there who is helped and satisfied by me.

4- I live with my sister in Lahore she always shares her problems with me. Last week, she said that she was not well and having pain in his eyes. Her husband was too much busy in his business and didn’t pay attention to the house. The condition was becoming severe day by day; however, I took an initiative and went to the nearby hospital with her. After examinations of eyes, doctors said her eyesight had gone a very week (0.7) we should do some precautionary measures and buy new one eye-glasses or contact lens. Anyhow,we bought some medicines and returned home. She was very happy and gratified me a lot for giving attention to her. She said that she was proud of having a brother like me. She followed Amal’s principle of gratitude but I never did this but now I will show gratification to her and my whole family.

5- A few days ago, my best friend told me that he was fought with his parents on some career issue and at that time he was out of the home. He asked me frankly, “What should I do now? I should go back home or sleep outside?”. I made him understand that he did wrong so he should be sorry towards them and go home as soon as possible. Parents are the best guides in the World so we should not fight with them. Instead, we should be thankful to them for how difficult they nourished us and thinking for our future. He acted upon my advice and went back to home. Afterward, he thanked me for that advice and made me feel that I did very well in that critical situation.

Experience:
Overall it was a very best experience of my life of being kind towards the people around us and making them feel that they are special for us. It’s a psychological fact that sharing the problems, sorrows, and grieves of the other person gives us a mental satisfaction.

I have learned from this experience that doing random acts of kindness in our daily life gives us an explanation of ourselves. Being kind towards the person from whom we don’t expect any favor makes us realize that for what purpose we are made for. It develops a bond of humanity between the strangers.

Now, I am planning to contribute this habit in my workplace because I believe that it works in every critical situation we might face in the whole of our career. We can show kindness at our workplace by helping our colleagues on any issue, going the extra mile in our assigned project and behaving friendly with other employees. And this thing will help us in achieving our goals.
