Reaching Out to HR Professionals to Practice Equip and Real
Experience:
It was a great experience ever in my life to meet the HR professionals and know about their ideas. Besides this, I have learned a lot of things in this activity like time management, punctuality, engaging with the recruiters and obviously teamwork. First of all, we selected 2 companies for visiting Steel Craft and Descon Engineering and sent emails to their owners and also contacted them personally. One of them (Steel Craft’s owner) gave us a positive response and conducted a meeting of 30 minutes. We did some research about that company and prepared some questions that would be asked in the meeting and wrote them on a paper. On the decided day and time, we reached there and we were amazed that he treated us with a very professional and pleasant manner. In fact, he was waiting for us and after introducing ourselves we started to ask some questions.

Questions:
We asked these questions to the General Manager of Steel Craft’s.
1- What did they look for a fresh graduate?
His response was quite obvious that the people search for an authentic and fresh graduate that would work honestly for their company and be loyal to them.
2- What were the future goals of their company?
When we asked about their future projects, company enhancements and quality of their products, he answered us with a great satisfaction. He told us that they are much interested to enhance their business in other cities as well and planning to adopt more technological methods.
3- How did they set a standard of their products?
My group member Ahsan told him a story about cracking their product (Bike wheel) in a public place and wanted to know the reason for that incident. He replied that they are using the Japanese standard and never compromise over it. They follow a set standard of their products for the Atlas Honda company and we can claim their products in the situation of damaging publicly.
4- How important do you think it is to be yourself in an interview?
He said being real and authentic is the most important thing during an interview and other fields of life as well. Are they always interested to see either you represent yourself authentically or not?
5- How to be fully equipped for an interview?
When we asked this question to the General Manager of Steel Craft he smiled and told us that we should be equipped physically by taking our updated CV, cover letter along with us and by adopting an appropriate dress code.
Main Takeaways:
1- The most important thing that we learned from him was, never tell your skills to the interviewer if you didn’t have experience of them instead that, tell your strength stories briefly.
2- It is quite necessary that when you visit a company or an organization adopt the dress code familiar to them. They are much interested in non-verbal communication.
3- If you visit a company with a group of members, every member should be prepared well for that meeting mentally and physically as well. Everyone should ask some thoughtful questions and try to engage them properly.
How can I apply these outcomes in the future?
I am thinking to go the extra mile by showing my real passion and authenticity during an interview and in my daily life as well. While dropping my CV in person I will adopt the cultural dress of that company to make them feel that I am really desperate for them. Engaging your audience is a little bit difficult task when you are in form of a group so I will be prepared for this situation next time by building a strong understanding among the group members.
Sending Thank you Email:
When we returned from his office I sent him a thank you letter in which I praised his vision towards the company and thanked him for spending his most valuable time discussing with us.
