Goal: To better understand how kindness (even small acts of kindness) can make a difference in how people trust us (and also the impact that being kind has on our own self)

1: Buy some foods for stranger: I bought some foods for stranger who was sitting alone outside the restaurant and he was so hungry, seeing all over the people who were entering in the restaurant when I gave him some foods he saw me and just used to cry. After that he thanks to me and gave many precious smile to me. I really felt good at that time.

2: Hold the door for my cousin: We went for dinner last night and when we going to entered in the restaurant I hold the door for my cousin and she was like Bilal is that you?

Seriously I really felt good at that time and she was shocked to see me like that.

3: Sharing my ideas with my cousin: We sat in the room and she was working on her project and she asked me for help and I just thought that I have to help her in any case. So I shared my own ideas with her and she was like Bilal how? How you are so changed now? I felt like I’m a superhero for that time.

4: Clean out my house with my mother: Amma was cleaning my room which was like mess. Before this I never ever helped my mother in cleaning our house. When I started to clean my room with my mother and she was just shocked and she said that Are you in your senses Bilal? Hahahaha like I was laughing loudly at that time.

5: Say “Thank You” to them: I was buying some shirts for me and I was with my family so I was confused about 2 shirts and I asked my cousin to help me in this matter she give me a good advise. After shopping I thanks to her and she said Bilal you never thanks to me in any matter then why are you thanking me tonight?

Project 1 : Eat that Frog with a Pomodoro (5 points)

To overcome procrastination by using the Pomodoro technique

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. I heard this technique for the very first time in Amal Fellowship in online course named as Pomodoro which actually means tomato and in this technique we learnt the importance of time and how we manage our time according our projects or office works. This technique is basically to fight procrastination.

I took my cell phone, laptop along with charger, note book and a pen and went to my room for completing my online course in time. Firstly, I turned off my cell phone’s notifications and I set it on airplane mode so no one can interrupt me when I will busy in doing my project efficiently. After that I set a timer of 25 minutes on my cell phone and start my work with all of my fresh mind. The first distraction was that my dad’s calls me. So, I went to his room and told him that I’m doing my project so please dad I’m not available for some time. I returned to room and start working on my project and the timer was rang after 25 minutes. I went outside for some snacks after 3 or 4 minutes I came back and start working again.

After coming back to room I again set a timer of 25 minutes. When I had start working again you know what was the second distraction? That was my cell phone, Because I have to make call to my friend for serious reason and I made it for some time. After ending the call I came back to work and the time I consumed on call was 5 minutes and 25 seconds.

I set the timer of 25 minutes again. The third distraction was the door bell. I was working with all concentration and that time bell was rung and I was like I kill you whoever at the door step. After coming back I wasted 3 minutes.

It was good practice for me and it was a great tip for doing a project or anything else with your full potential and concentration. I will apply this activity in my future work. I will overcome on all of these distractions in future IN SHA ALLAH and I hope for the best. I will do this activity again on regular basis.
