After a hard months’ work, nothing is more refreshing than a trip to some hill station and natural sights and sounds. It’s been just a couple of days, since I reached back from a short visit to some areas of Northern Pakistan. The sites mainly included: Naran, Kaghan, Lake Saifulmaluk, Shogran and Siri Paye. And let me mention a credit which goes to Destida! No, it’s not some code word. It’s the tour organizing company, which brilliantly did so.

Mountains covered with lush green trees, some summits still capped with snow as winters have just passed, fresh air, rain, cold atmosphere, beautiful valleys, down-hills flow of river and most importantly clouds on the roads. It’s been a great expedition.

The blog is mainly the flashback and some pictorial memories of the tour. But before it, let me admit one thing; if you are fond of travelling and nature, you don’t need to go abroad as even this one life may not be counted enough to see the beautiful valleys, serpentine flow of rivers and marvelous scenaries.

So, let’s start with Naran Valley, almost 6 hours from Islamabad. It has a wide variety of lodgings available to suit all pockets, a market comprising of shops containing food items, traditional clothing, and other items.

You can also enjoy dance of ripples on the surface of water and experience a deep, cool and fresh breathe at the bank of River Kunhar.

A 50 minutes ride from main Naran valley will take you to a stunning place known as Lake Saifulmaluk. The route to lake is itself an adventurous one.

Two hours’ drive back will take you to another such lush green hill station; Shogran. On its way, you can also have a short stay at Kewai Waterfall, which is also worth visiting. So, let’s now have a flashback of Shogran.

The very next peaks from Shogran are named as Siri and Paye. A dramatically adventurous track leads you to these summits, where some stunning sceneries wait for your arrival.
