GitHub is a web-based Git or version control repository and Internet hosting service. It is mostly used for code. It offers all of the distributed version control and source code management(SCM) functionality of Git as well as adding its own features. It provides access control and several collaboration features such as bug tracking, feature requests, task management, and wikis for every project. [1]

This is what Wikipedia says but Github is more than that. It is part of my life now and I definitely recommend everyone to use Github good or bad doesn’t really matter. Don’t make same mistakes that I did in the past and try to use these kinds of tools/sites. This is something you always need and will be appreciated to use when you really understand. I wish I could start to use when I registered first time (2012).

You can keep all your codes or your valuable documents in your GitHub account and you can reach them anywhere in the world like your cloud provider. Git’s version system also help you to track your code and see what changes you made in the past. Basically, it is using all Git features and bringing them next level.

If you don’t know about Git, Please read Git Article first.

What Have I Learned From Git?

I am using GitHub daily basis and it is helping me build my career bricks better and more stable. It is my main references at the moment and most of the interviews I had in the past, interviewers always check my GitHub account to see if I am active or not.

You will use and love it that I am sure!

Deep Note

Alternatively you can use BitBucket
