HR Manager thoughts
Last thursday I with my fellows arranged a meeting with HR manager of IFL( Ibrahim Fibres limited) on interview process. It was really a good experience. We learnt a lot about how to deal with recruiters and how check their mentality etc.

we reached at 11am and met with HR Manager Sir Abdul Qayum and he took us to conference room and he also call a tea for us. Then our interview start. First we introduced ourselves and then he told about himself. As we search a lot about company but he told us some interesting things also which we did not find during search.

Like first thing he mentioned about the company recruiter policies.
They divided the fresh candidates into three categories according to their Universities like like A category B and C. they included top Pakistani universities in A category like IBA, Quaid e Azam etc. similarly B and C and they make their packages according their rank. He told a lot of things about company next project and branches etc. And they also mentioned the interview process like first interview take by HR manager and second by HOD and last or final interview takse by CEO.
After this now it was our turn and we ask a lot of question and the most important thing which affect us he remain very polite, calm during whole conversation. First question asked from our side:
What suggestions you may have on how to be fully prepared/equipped for an interview?
He told us your passion about company matters a lot during interview and for full preparation you should first of all focus on Search about company , history, policies, their shares, projects, products and upcoming events etc. he said do all things and go for extra mile also.
How do you identify if a candidate is being real or not during the interview?
He said it is very easy for us because we take a lot of interviews and your way of expression, your way of talking, confidence told everything about you.
Are you think CGPA matter a lot ?
He told it is right to get good CGPA in university matter a lot but during interview HR manager mainly focus on your skills not on your marks and he said your communication style your confidence level matter with HR interview but interview with HOD in this case your marks matter and your bookish knowledge also as well your CGPA and during CEO interview your current affairs knowledge and company knowledge matters and always bring new ideas which helpful for the company
Our last question was related to QBQs so what you think about this?
He said recruiters want to check the applicants mentality level, his power of understanding and recruiters main aim to find out the skills , strength and what they are fit for company or not
so after this whole discussion or interview we decided to go back their homes and in the end we say goodbye to Sir Abdul Qayum and thanks him.
Conclusion:
through whole discussion we become familiar with company culture, their environment. it boost our confidence level and enable us to speak and interview in front of any recruiters.
