Army CID Special Agent Civilian Provides Investigative Services to Army
Originally established as a major command of the U.S. Army, the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the U.S. Army provides investigative services to all levels of the Army. To find and stop crimes in the area the American Expeditionary Forces were occupying, General John Pershing ordered the Provost Marshal General of his American Expeditionary Forces to establish a criminal investigation division under the Military Police Corps.
