This is an excellent article. I have been a software technology entrepreneur for a long time. I am interested in building organizations that can sustain. One of the companies I founded is 20 years old in August. In building this company I made a discovery. Function Leaders — those that have led within a particular craft (like a CFO) need to be trained to become Total Systems Leaders. I will reference this essay as part of that training.
