My love letter (and goodbye?) to Austin

Nice to see someone else who’s even heard of FBLA! I usually had to explain it to people as “Like a business equivalent of 4-H”.

For three years in a row in the early 90s I won first place at the state level for my event (“Computer Applications for Business” — essentialy, “here’s a program requirement, you have two hours to do a logic flowchart, print output template, and write the code with pen and paper, no computer allowed”), then went on every year to Nationals where I placed in the top ten.

Fun times.
