Not Quite Ready for My Third Act
Midcentury Modern

Very well written, John, and I commiserate because I am also pondering retirement. I have put it off a couple of times since I reached my full Social Security age several years ago for the main reason you mentioned: what would I do? I also can say that I have taken a few years of retirement in short bursts: a year or two running a rock and roll bar in Vermont in the 70s, another year or so pursuing a career change into cooking in the late 80s, and those in-between-gigs periods when your major job is to find a job. Do what makes you feel good, John; I don’t know if Jane Fonda ever said that but she certainly has lived it. And if what makes you feel good is to continue working, keep pounding away.
