The Beauty of Living in Blissful Ignorance

I’ve always assumed that since I’m a people watcher and I’m constantly disengaged from conversations with people when there is a lot going on around me, that everyone else is.

Today, I realized just how incorrect I’ve been..

As I’m sitting at a high top table in my favorite coffee shops, I turn around to grab my notebook from my bag. I bump my wobbly high top table but don’t notice that my tall, hot coffee is bouncing out of my cup. As I feel my fresh hot coffee pouring onto my leg, I turn around to see my coffee practically jumping out of my cup — all over the place.

People are everywhere, in fact I’m pretty sure my coffee splashed on a girls back that was sitting next to me… totally oblivious everyone kept on with their conversations. Through my quickly grabbing paper towel, cleaning off my Macbook, table and floor. No one noticed.

Lesson Learned

Wherever your are, whenever you are alive (yes, always) — be yourself. Say what you want. Laugh as loud as your emotions tell you. There is a beauty to living in blissful ignorance.

The world isn’t judging you, you’re judging yourself. Stop it. Live fully alive.
