Hey Kayla, yes, I’m in data science. I too work in a “sea of creatives” and I love it! Blending data and measurement with creative work is indeed an evolving effort, but I think we’re in the early stages of learning how to deal with the massive amounts of data we have available, and there’s so much more to come. So we’re all pioneers here and have a lot to learn. What I hoped to illustrate in the story is that data isn’t a thing to fear or look at as a master, but as another tool for creatives to use when focusing on their art and their customer. Used properly, data can be very freeing because it gives us a view into our work that we might not otherwise have. Keep up the good fight!
