Chris, Chapter 1 hits all the right notes for an opening! A great hook, introduces the (it seems) main character, creates some sympathy for her (her? I’m thinking of the “bra”), shows just enough setting and hint of backstory to create a world-sense, and raises all kinds of questions that make me want to keep reading. I want to know who (and, actually, what) this character is, who and what she was before, what was done to her by Sanya, what this apparently dystopian world is, and on and on. Nicely done!
