Could the blockchain become a universal publishing platform or perhaps just a new kind of RSS?
At the most basic level the blockchain is a decentralized database with essential elements of identity, portability, and transactional integrity.
Could content creators publish on the blockchain? Here are a few obvious features and benefits of a blogging platform built on the blockchain:
- Authors, editors, and even publishers could collaborate and remix content without concern for infringing on anyone’s creative rights.
- Publishers, including the author, could freely assemble and reassemble content into a variety of relevant publications.
- Duplicate content and plagiarism becomes a moot point as the blockchain manages the integrity and authenticity of the original content.
- Compensation could be an inherent part of the platform, with or without intermediation between reader, advertiser, or publisher.
What you think? A crazy use of blockchain technology or a natural use case?
