I’m going to try something new this week — after all, if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.
What is “Challenge Week”?
Challenge week is a concept I’ve heard of before (I can’t remember where or what they called it) in which every day during a week is committed to a single, big objective.
For example, here’s what my challenge week will look like:
Monday — Focus on improving my writing. Read blogs, watch videos, and write all day, whether it be for work or personal improvement. Use the traffic light method to improve my writing.
Tuesday — Focus on improving my eCommerce business. Write a plan for contests, engage with my followers on social media, read blogs and watch videos on improving my business. Spend all day learning the best strategies for online retail.
Wednesday — Focus on getting organized. Clean up my computer files, run virus scans and disc defrag, etc. Organize my things, go through them to find stuff to sell during my yard sale this weekend, and review my finances more thoroughly.
Thursday — Focus on content marketing. Learn how to better serve my clients. Read blogs and watch videos about internet marketing. Take a free course or two. Write notes.
Friday — Focus on growing my freelance business. Apply to job postings on various job boards, network on social media, and contact previous clients.
Saturday — Focus on selling my stuff during my yard sale. Post the items that don’t sell on FB yardsale groups.
Sunday — Reflect on the experience. Write about what went well, what went poorly, and what I liked and disliked about it. Try to see where my strengths lie and where I have weaknesses.
So there you have it — my challenge week. Let’s see how this goes!
