Rudy Giuliani’s Loyalty to Donald Trump Cost Him Everything
What took a lifetime to achieve, was gone in less than four years.
After defaming two Georgia election workers after the 2020 election by falsely accusing them of stuffing ballot boxes, U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman ordered Rudy Giuliani to surrender his New York apartment on Madison Avenue to help settle the $145 million civil judgment.
That wasn’t the first of his problems.
Just last month, his law license was permanently revoked because of his attempts to undermine the results of the 2020 election.
Once immensely popular, the former Mayor of New York City was heralded for his leadership after the September 11 Attacks and earned positive marks from nearly 8 in 10 Americans. His approval ratings were so high, he was viewed as a serious presidential candidate.
The numbers quickly dropped thanks to his association with Donald Trump.
A recent CNN poll shows “16 percent of Americans view him favorably, and a majority of — 51 percent — view him unfavorably.”
A sad fall for someone who was once called, “America’s mayor.”
Even if Trump reclaims the White House, the simple question for Rudy Giuliani is, “was it worth it?”
Most musicians refuse to grant Trump permission to play their music at his rallies.
