Little Nation Kitchen Review
“Durable, feature rich, a great quality role play toy.” 10/10
With the holidays coming up, it’s that time of year that I start taking a look at gift guides to find fun gift ideas for my preschooler. My daughter has a wish list a mile long but I am quite picky about what toys I purchase.
Here you will find my review for our Little nation Play Kitchen

A play kitchen was always a must play with at my daughters daycare. We purchased a cheap kitchen to start and its didn’t end well. Although It was a struggle for them to use, the fridge/cabinet doors were always getting stuck and eventually fell off, but my kids loved it to death. After struggling for a couple of months with it, we had one too many tantrums and I got rid of it.
Following a couple of days of reading reviews and blogs I ended up buying this Little Nation Play Kitchen.
In regards to these major ticket (aka large and more expensive) toys I have three areas of criteria that a toy has to meet before I even consider it: Works for multiple ages, allows for open ended or imaginative play, and is durable. With the daycare I need toys that will appease multiple ages of kids (1–4yrs) otherwise they’d rarely get used or only get used for a brief moment. Because of having many ages and running a daycare, durability of a toys is the deal breaker. If a toy doesn’t withstand daycare kids and my daughter using it for a year I don’t waste my time or money and keep on walking. I got this Little Nation Kitchen when my daughter was a toddler. Every one of the kids at the daycare could use it and all of them thought it was the best toy ever. This kitchen set never gets old and gets great use. Some days the girls are having “lunch at school” or “packing lunches for work” and other days they’re busy “doing chores” by washing dishes and cooking dinner.
Durability: We’ve had this kitchen for 2 years now and in that time it’s withstood daily use from several kids (1.5 to 4 years) and my daughter. It’s been climbed on, colored on, hit and pushed around and somehow it still looks (almost) new. The doors are slammed, cabinets and the sink pulled/yanked on, and the burners used as drums with metal pans but everything is still attached and going strong. Not one piece of the paint has flaked or peeled off and it’s not scratched, I expect another few years out of it.

This is one of our most loved toys. If this one breaks at some point I’d definitely be buying another Little Nation Kitchen! Along with the kitchen we also purchased the Little Nation play fruit set which has been great for role play and exposure to healthy food habits. I couldn’t recommend the Little Nation Kitchen highly enough. Its been absolutely brilliant and a mainstay of our kids play time.
