Hi Rob, I recently found Medium and while practicing the banjo tonight I read your story, the second story I’ve read on Medium. And your story made me smile. It’s not everyday you hear someone speak about the akonting. I’ve only heard it mentioned once before. Thanks for an entertaining, well-informed story about family and the banjo. I play the banjo because of the the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde. And I don’t think my Dad had much exposure to the banjo, he was a singer of songs from the American songbook. Much Happiness, Billy Kemp
