Vice Film Review

Vice gives you an inside look into the filmmakers mind and ends with a self aware view of how the movie shows some bias and isn’t the end all be all truth of what happened while Dick Cheney was in office. Once you put that aside and go along for this ride “Vice” is a cinematic masterpiece.

Vice takes risks such as changing the pace of the film and quickly jumping from comedy to drama. The only fault of the film is there’s no real focus on any character except Christian Bale as Dick. Which is to be expected. However the narrative becomes messy with the introduction of at least twenty side characters who pop in and out and serve almost no purpose.

Thanks to it’s eye opening story and top notch (if not the best) genre blending the poor character development is easily dismissed in my eyes. Therefore Vice gets an 8.5/10 from me
