Making a decision is one of the challenging things a human being goes through. I’m not talking about decisions like what kind of cereal I am going to have for breakfast or which book to read next. I’m talking about the ones that are life altering, the ones that can lead you to a direction that can radically change who you are as a person. The moment where you say something that could impact yourself as well as the people around you for years to come.

The odd thing is though is that even the simple decisions that I mentioned earlier can actually a big impact on your life. We make decisions all the time that are as basic as you can get. But with decisions comes mentality and how someone thinks. Someone could choose to do something as simple as have cake for breakfast or a decision to sleep past your alarm and act like it’s nothing. But in actuality you are creating trends in your life that will impact everything else you do with the rest of your day or even your entire life

So what do you do? Do you not care about what you do or overthink things and ultimately not make any decisions for fear of the results. The simple truth is that we all have to make a choice, it’s just also up to us to make those choices positive in your life. If you want to do something then go do it. Just make sure that you understand that it is your job and responsibility to make that decision a right one and to never live in regret. Be proud of what you decided on doing and strive to make it a benefit in your life

Time and time again I see people either make dumb decisions that doesn’t do anything for them in any sense of the imagination. Now I’m not saying what they decided on doing was dumb, it’s how they went about it and how little effort they tried to make that decision work in their lives. You can do whatever you want in your life but it’s up to you to figure out what actions work best for you and how these decisions can lead you to a happier life

A good decision also requires no complaining. If you went one route, you have to accept the victories as well as the failures that comes with going that pathway. Complaining only proves that you are not committed to the direction you made and it will only cause regret and remorse for what could have been or what you would have done differently

Decisions can be your greatest enemy but used properly it can be your greatest tool for success. You can’t let fear or wordiness get in the way of what choice you want to make and once you made that decision you have to see it through the end. Make every moment count and make every choice you make have a purpose and a goal to pursue. Want to be healthy? Then choose to have a healthy breakfast instead of cake. Want to be a wealthy business man? Then choose to not waste your money and invest in your future. It’s all about self control and the ability to know what it is that you want. That is what decision making is. It is a mentality to know what you want and how you want to get it.

I will leave you with a quote from Tony Robbins, “It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped”.
