In addition to bot conversations, there is huge potential for real conversations around news to be made better with AI. Medium is a great example, and we can see several ways in which they are trying to do this by looking at the response section:
1) Only showing responses from your network or recommended responses (eliminating the awful comment feeds on other news sites)

3) Smart recommendations to the next news story people might want to read at the bottom (by person, type of article, or what’s trending).
In conclusion, Medium is using AI and personal identity to give individuals access to relevant ideas. Their response sections feel much more like real conversations with real people than other information-based sites. I bet this will continue even with bots because the people posting on Medium are real people.
