Since the beginning on 2018 the team at the gallery have been working hard behind the scenes, testing and selecting a new platform that will allow us to record stock, issue invoices, display the works we offer in a global marketplace and deliver a reactive live website with real time updates.
We finally selected ArtCloud to partner with because of the many positives it brings to our business. This means that shortly, we will have a new website that automatically populates with the current stock. We are experiencing a few teething issues as we move all the stock from the 20th century solution to something very 21st century! Please bear with us!
Meanwhile, we have also turned Five and celebrated in style with some of our favourite artists from the first five years. Works came and went from Kirsty Elson, Laura Rich, Anne-Sophie Gilloen and Samantha Bryan but fear not we have plenty more in store!
2018 is shaping up to be another great year as we develop the sculpture side of the business with lots of shows lined up for later in the year. We kick off with a celebration of Yorkshire artists in April when Brendan Hesmondhalgh, James Oughtibridge and David Mayne join the gallery for a joint show of their wonderful sculptures. We have added in Albert Montserrat who will be bringing new pots, bowls and just maybe a couple of surprises!
Another key event is an all animal affair with Andrew Denman sending his sublime works from California to join Simon Gudgeon and Stephen Page sculptures and the superb British animal artist Louise McNaught.
We currently have a very strong showing of works too with Laura Rich, Samantha Bryan, Kirsty Elson and Anne-Marie Gilloen amongst some of the names on display.
