- The fact that you are correlating the stopping of exploitation with the stagnation of the US economy since 1971 without any evidence or deep analysis proves to me that you are a man who starts with a cause and tries to fins evidence for it, which is the opposite of how real analysis is produced. There are so many more potential reasons for the phenomenon, for example a decline in the rate of technological improvements (appart from tech/IT) since 1971. Or the tremenduous rise of globalisation and the crushing competition it brought. Or the oil crisis of the 1970s. Or… Do you see my point?
