The brain registers the emotional pain in the same way as physical pain, which is why you might feel like actual physical hurt. 5 types of pain are

✓Neuropathic pain.

✓Nociceptive pain.

✓Radicular pain.

Pain management strategies include:

✓pain-relieving medicines.

✓physical therapies (such as heat or cold packs, massage, hydrotherapy and exercise)

✓psychological therapies (such as cognitive behavioural therapy, relaxation techniques and meditation)

✓mind and body techniques (such as acupuncture)

✓occupational therapy.

Over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers are medicines you can buy at a store, without a prescription from your doctor. They can decrease or stop pain. They can also lower fevers. But not all pain relievers work the same way .
