Your New Year Starts Now

We’re in November 2019, so many people have shut down for the year and are looking forward to 2020. Some goals have been put on hold until January when they can be added to yet another list of New Year resolutions.
But what if I told you that you could start a new year right now? Sorry to burst your bubble, but there’s no magic waiting for you in 2020. If you go into the New Year with a 2019 mindset, you’ll get the exact same results. So how can you ensure that you end this year well and start next year better? It’s by changing your daily routine.

Success is a process
There’s a process to attaining sustainable success, and it starts with what you do every day. Anybody can start something big, but it takes consistency to finish well. Little drops of water make a mighty ocean, and the little habits you’re practicing on a daily basis are either preparing you for a mighty success or a mighty failure.
Many successful people have said that the secret to their success is their daily routine and most especially what they do every morning. Track your daily habits and ask yourself two intelligent questions: What happens to people who spend their day like you’re spending yours? Are those the results you want?
Success is a journey not a destination, and that journey started the day you were born. Everything is adding up. You might not have been able to choose the circumstances of your birth and your childhood, but you can change the trajectory of your life by taking responsibility for your daily choices.

Decisions, decisions
A friend of mine likes to say that you were born looking like your parents but you will die looking like your decisions. Are you choosing success with your daily habits? God wants you to succeed because he’ll be the first to get glory out of your success. However, he doesn’t want to embarrass you, so he won’t let you get a blessing that you’re not ready for. And how do you get ready? By doing the right things every day.
I want to challenge you to take the rest of this year to create a daily routine that will lead you towards success. Identify the areas of your life you want to improve in and create some new habits that will help you reach your goals. If you want to be in better physical shape, then move your body daily. If you want to grow in your career, then read something new about your industry every day. If you want to boost your spiritual life, take time to pray and study your Bible daily.

If you commit to these habits for the rest of this year, you will end 2019 a better person and enter 2020 ready for a new life. Your New Year can start now.
