Bismuth Mainnet
The Bismuth Mainnet is Proof-of-Work based. A custom sha-224 algorithm is being utilized and optimized for GPU mining. Block time generation is 1-minute.

Bismuth Mainnet Mining
The biggest Bismuth mining pools are Eggpool and Coinsaurus. An opensource solo mining software is also available which is called KBKminer.
Bismuth Hypernode Staking Side-Chain
The Bismuth Hypernode Side-Chain is Proof-of-Stake based.
We count 118 active Hypernodes with a total amount of active collateral of 3,460,000 BIS. That’s an increase of 14 active nodes since the last report.

The plot below shows all Hypernodes, both active and inactive. As can be seen from the plot, the number of Hypernodes is currently at 335, up by 1 node since the last report.
The plot below shows the total Hypernode collateral, both active and inactive. As can be seen, the total amount of collateral is 9,400,000. The total amount of BIS in circulation is 37,78 million. Hence, the amount of active collateral accounts for 9.1 % of the total supply, or 24.8 % if the amount of inactive collateral is included.

Tornado Wallet & TK-Wallet Updates
The `requirements.txt` file for the Tornado Wallet has been updated to specify that version 0.0.53 or newer of `bismuthclient` is required. This version supports the use of a backup API URL. It’s important to note that this change applies to running the wallet directly from the source code, as a formal release has not yet been made.
Similarly, the source code for the TK-Wallet has also been updated to incorporate a backup API URL. This modification is currently available when running the wallet from the source code, with no official release version updated to include this feature as of yet.
