Here at BitBay we have always set ourselves challenging yet realistic goals to deliver secure and easy-to-use products for our users. Over the last year we’ve successfully delivered numerous products and updates, regularly and on time. Last week saw the release of the much-anticipated Decentralized Dynamic Peg whitepaper and soon we will release a demo version of the peg so users can test how this works.

Our Roadmap

One item on our roadmap was always going to be a tight deadline to hit: the Web Marketplace beta. The first ever online crypto marketplace featuring ‘Double-Deposit Escrow’ is a big commitment to say the least, and in hindsight, July was a little too ambitious. Having said that, our development team is making very good progress with two back-end devs, one front-end dev and a dedicated UX/UI designer working on the project every day.

Browsing items on the upcoming BitBay web marketplace

The team have made a lot of improvements to the on-boarding process over the last few weeks, making the BitBay web marketplace more familiar for new users coming from the ‘traditional’ online marketplaces, and while this stage took a bit longer than expected, we know it will be worth it in the long-term.

The team productivity is also improving every week as our internal processes become more efficient and we are pleased to announce that, while we didn’t hit our initial target of 30th July, we will have a demo version ready to test in August.

Demo invites

We’ll be releasing the marketplace to the public after our extensive user-testing and feedback stage. If you would like to be part of the testing then follow @bitbayofficial on twitter.

We’ll be posting details of how you can sign up and get involved later this week.

As always, I’d like to thank our amazing community for their continued support and I’ll be keeping you updated throughout August on the progress.
