This joke, once posted we believe by Ron Futrell on twitter became an inspiration for tons of meme’s. But stop for a second and realize, every day more and more what is called IoT (Internet — of — Things) devices become a part of our office, home, everyday life. Smart TV’s, cameras, refrigerators, kid toys, personal assistants (like mentioned Echo lol), and much more.

Most of these devices are no less then a single chip / single board computers running either version of Linux or other software and designed on a short timelines with no sufficient penetration and security testing.

Mirai, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirai_(malware) was one of the most successful malware that turned millions of connected to Internet devices into a powerful and destructive botnet army.

Are you sure your smart refrigerator is not stealing your passwords and not part of the crime ring?
