You have a very solid point. At least I got to use the heading, “How to Build a Reliable Space Ship” in a bitcoin article. (My ulterior motive for mentioning the example.)

I should note though, that despite the program’s massive costs, budget overruns, and two separate disasters, the program’s choice to implement redundant software systems seems to have never caused a failure.
