The rise of mobile gaming has given birth to many great mobile titles. Newzoo reported that mobile games revenue reached $137.9 billion in 2018 which accounted for more than 50% of the global games market.

For a long time, developers only had to compete with each other to bring about the best games around the world. With the current mobile game leaders such as Candy Crush, Fortnite, Clash of Clans (just to name a few) taking the markets by storm, it has converted millions into active mobile gamers around the world.

Many third parties have also created portable gamepads which simulate a controller for mobile, bringing mobile players closer to their console experience.

GamesIndustry.bizreported that Southeast Asia presented opportunities in the form of $1 billion in revenue as of 2016. You can safely assume that figure has grown much more since then.
