I agree with the premise. I have always felt that by and large we all want the same thing; that which is best for the American people. Unfortunately we wildly disagree on how to achieve the goal. To me not only should we be willing to listen to the opposing view but we should compromise, using the best parts of all the ideas to arrive at the best solution. What difference does it make where the idea came from? But alas in this society we created if you disagree with me then clearly you are stupid. I find that very sad.
