Attack of the Spiders
So earlier this week I came across my arch-nemesis when I take a shower. A creepy, crawly, long-legged spider. I put my stuff down on the ledge and was about to turn the water on, when I look over see a huge spider in my shower. Just chilling the day away, like it’s normal for it to intrude on my personal belongings. So since I’m so terrified of spiders, I quickly gather my things, and run away like there’s no tomorrow. I texted my mom what I had seen and told her to kill it when she got home.
So because this happened, I decided to find how spiders can get in your bathroom, and end up in a shower, or bathtub. While research I came across this article I found on another blog site about pests. I found it trustworthy and has information that makes sense. So people think spiders come up the plughole. According to the site its “There is almost always a U-bend in the plumbing just below your plug holes. The reason for this isn’t to keep spiders coming up them, but to stop items falling down and clogging the drain.” So what this means it that there’s a separate pipe from the plughole, and spiders come up that way. The reason for this separate pipe is to keep stuff from clogging the drain. An example is a person’s hair because we all know we lose a lot of hair while showering over time. So if you’re afraid of spiders you that fear can lead to stress because this can trigger a fight or flight response because the nerves in your body knows you’re afraid. But as soon as you run away from it or face your fears and kill it, that response it gone. So that’s all for today, hope you got some answers of why you find spiders in your bathroom.
