Coding Is Over

I find it hard to believe that coding is over

To make the future one where no code is needed to be written we need create machines that can do the coding for us. The only path to that, the way we can tell a machine what to do, coding.

If there is something the Halting Problem teaches us it’s that machines aren’t very good at fixing themselves.

The presence of the same app ideas with different colours and copy shows a saturation of ideas and a lack of creative individuals, it far from hails the end of coding. With conferences like Google IO and WWDC and so many many more and ever increasing technologies there’s always something new.

To say that coding is over would be nullify the importance of a person like me who has invested the sweat and blood into working towards a degree in Computer Science. Also does it wash away the efforts we put in to inspire the future generation to be a part of this technological revolution.

Maybe everyone doesn’t need to know how to code, the world needs people to do other things as well; but if coding is over, well then we might find ourselves in a spot of trouble
